About the Role
Principal duties and responsibilities:
Drive scientific progress using high content confocal microscopy of neuronal cultures
Develop and validate innovative approaches to make significant improvements in microscopy and image analysis pipeline
Solving complex problems to contribute to the crucial development of our science
Evaluate and integrate new imaging and image processing methods, techniques and technologies to independently progress key aspects of projects
Oversee, develop, and mentor a team together driving aggressively toward successful scientific outcomes
Leadership and execution of their own and their team’s scientific program
Requirements
Qualifications & experience:
Ph.D. Degree in Neuroscience or equivalent
Extensive experience in confocal microscopy
Experience with Zeiss (advantage)
Extensive experience in image analysis (using programs such as CellProfiler, Imaris, Neurolucida...)
Industry experience (advantage)
Experience with neurobiology research
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
Flexible to shifting priorities and variable workloads

Our mission is to improve outcomes for patients with Depression, reduce the time patients suffer and improve the quality of patient lives. We are recruiting a Senior Microscopy Group Lead to help drive our microscopy research program. The candidate should be a highly motivated and independent neuroscientist who will work with the rest of the team on development of new platform technologies. The successful candidate will ideally be extensively familiar with cellular neuroscience and microscopy.
